The things we do

Just some stuff we have recently been up to.

Last weekend we went to a footy game with Josh M., Daryl and Brit, and Daryl's family. Geelong vs. Carlton, Go Cats!!! (Geelong). We won by a lot....sorry Daryl and Brit :-(
Jolene stayed with Sarah and Eleni; Adele came with us. That was interesting. The game started around 7:00pm, close to Adele's bed time. Every time the siren sounded Adele would jump and cry. Every time Geelong would score or do something spectacular Josh would cheer and Adele would startle and cry. Every time the guy in front would turn around and look at Adele, she would startle and cry. Eventually (an hour later) she was so tired she passed out; the sounds and ugly (apparently) faces didn't matter any more. All in all it was good and Adele really wasn't that difficult to deal with. I guess it was our fault anyway :-)

Friday night Daryl held a surprise dinner party for Brit (turning 26). We all met around 6:30 at an Indian restaurant called Kahn Curry. She was very surprised and we all had a good time. We brought Adele along to this shin dig as well. It was pretty crowded, 22 of us, so we had to put her under the table to sleep. It worked pretty well, dark, muffled white noise, and smelly feet. Probably did the job of knocking her out :-)

Saturday night Sarah, other women from church, and I watched "Becoming Jane" . Pretty good except for the early dudity and party scene. I wonder how much of it is really true though, I guess I should find out huh?

Today, Sunday, Brandon and I helped out with the new Youth Fellowship Group. We did some one-on-one get to know you talking, B and I shared our testimonies, Alastair shared from the Word, and last not but least we ate. We both enjoyed the time, it was good to get to know the kids better.

Thank you for the update - it is so easy to just sweep whatever we do in life under the rug, but I want you guys to know that we still care and miss you and are looking forward to June and July! :)
