We will see you on the flip side

Our plane for LA leaves in 3 hours. We are rushing around trying to remember any last minute items to take care of. Formula to buy, diapers to smash into any small space we can find, I must say that I feel sorry for the people that might have to open our bags. At this moment they are practically spring loaded. As soon as the zipper goes someone will get a face full of diapers, clothes, baby toys, and other junk that you "must" fly with.

We are snowboarding tomorrow morning with Brandon's G'pa at Bear Mountain. Thursday for breakfast we are going to Rubie's on the Pier. My dad HAS to go to the Reagan Library, but I think he might have to wait until we are gone to do that one. He got a professional day from school so he has to go somewhere educational on the trip. I don't think he minds : -)

I was thinking about our goodbye party at Lafayette Sunday night. First of all, the sermon was good to hear, for us but also for some of our grandparents who are having a hard time understanding why we are going to Oz. Thanks Jared for the message! Second, I was thinking about all the emotions surrounding our goodbyes. I thought it was kind of strange that we (I more than Brandon) get all worked up about relationships that are so unperfected and tainted with sin. I'm not saying that we don't love our friends and family, far from it. I just thought it was interesting that we can get so emotional over something that can sometimes cause pain, anger, and other things as a result of the fall. How much more should we focus on our eternal friendships and the joy that they will bring when we are all gathered together in heaven. Those will be full fledge, 100% perfect relationships. The relationships here on this earth are only a reflection of what we are going to have in heaven, and when you think about your bestest best friend and then multiply that by infinity, well I guess for me it is pretty exciting.

Just a thought to get us over the ocean : -)

We will miss you all.

See you on the flip side,

Meg

B+M+J,
Here here... It goes without saying that God prepares and equips us for the tasks that we must tackle. It is evident that God has given you wisdom in this situation to understand the importance of seeking God in all that you do. We miss you guys and the sting is only lessened because we moved away first. I was just reading one of your old e-mails and reflected on numerous memories from good ole PV. It was like an inundating flood of humor and enjoyable fellowship… God Bless D^2
