I have been tagged...here are six randoms things about me

My friend Jeana tagged me. So I am supposed to write six random things about myself and tag six more bloggers to do the same. Here they are in no important order

1) My most favorite shoes of all time were my Nike Pegasus running shoes. I had these when I first started running, probably for the mini-marathon I did with my dad. I was in love with these shoes. They were black with white swooshes. I thought I could run forever in those. I wish I still had them.

2) A friend of mine from grade school and I taught ourselves how to write our names in hieroglyphics. We were obsessed with archeology and ancient Egyptian history. So we went to the library and found everything we could on hieroglyphics. We figured out the symbols for letters or similar sounds and then spelled our names with the symbols. It was lots of fun.

3) I love exploring. If I could do that as a job I would. It is not a very good mom/wife job though. The most exciting place I would want to explore right now is Antarctica's Lake Vostok.

4) "Follow the carbons". Some very good advice that I still remember from my Biochem 531 class. Probably one of the hardest classes I took at uni.

5) I can never remember the date on which Brandon and I got married. Now that doesn't mean I don't think it is important, I just can never remember if it was the 2nd or the 3rd. This is actually good for Brandon because if he forgets I won't remember anyway and we will both continue to live in a happy state of ignorance :-)

6) Whenever I bought a new pair of soccer cleats I would always write "Loch Moy" on the white stripes (they were always Adidas). My family is part Scottish and Loch Moy is the clan battle cry. It means (if I remember correctly) "my lake". I really miss playing soccer.

I like your 6 random things! A and I did hieroglyphics a few weeks ago in school. We've been studying Africa and ancient Egypt this semester. Usborne did a really good Cleopatra biography.

Touch not the cat bot a glove. :)

I liked these. I didn't know about the hieroglyphics (or the running shoes). It's fun to hear new things from those you've known your whole life. :)
Love you!

P.S. Hope you have a great time with Greg, Pam, and Janae!
